The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. Responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge and experience with one or more programming languages (C, C++, or C#)
- Experience or classroom knowledge of formal data structure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well both as part of a team or as an individual
- Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of software engineers
- Provide regular reporting of progress and status
- Gather and assemble data
- Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of software engineers
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Degree(s) Required: Associate's Degree or 3rd Year status minimum in an Engineering curriculum
- Degree(s) Preferred: Undergraduate, Master's in Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2025 at the DRS Dallas facility
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university and maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
