ASN Associate
About the position
The ASN Associate plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations within a fast-paced supply chain environment. This position is responsible for coordinating communication with vendors, buyers, and other Supply Chain departments, specifically focusing on ensuring all inbound DC shipments have available, usable Advanced Shipment Notices (ASNs).
Responsibilities
- Manage ASNs: Utilize the 'ASN to Publish' Report to identify ASNs needed for future appointments.
- Vendor Communication: Contact vendors for purchase orders (POs) requiring ASNs but not yet transmitted.
- Error Resolution: Review ASNs against POs to ensure they meet technical and business rules, correcting errors or collaborating with the MIO if necessary.
- Collaborate with MIO: Report and inquire about any ASN issues or PO updates needed, and work with vendors and buyers to resolve problematic shipments.
- Issue Reporting: For ASNs that cannot be corrected or obtained, report to the Pre-Receive department to ensure internal ASNs are created.
- Publish ASNs: Validate and publish ASNs to the appropriate systems, ensuring they align exactly with shipment POs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Supply Chain or Distribution environment.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
