Key Role: Senior Engineering Leader

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, architect, and implement cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, leadership abilities, and communication skills.

  • Experience in software development, with a focus on distributed systems and cloud platforms.
  • A strong understanding of engineering principles, including design patterns, testing strategies, and deployment methodologies.
  • The ability to lead and mentor teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality results.
  • A proven track record of shipping features and meeting deadlines, with a strong sense of urgency and aggressive mindset towards achieving results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Engineer Requirements:

  • Over 14 years of experience in software development, with a focus on distributed systems and cloud platforms.
  • At least 5 years of experience in engineering management, leading productive and high-functioning teams.
  • Ability to hire while ensuring a high hiring bar, keep engineers motivated, coach/mentor, and handle performance management.
  • Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and operations.
  • Familiarity with Kafka or similar high-scale distributed event streaming platforms.
  • Solid experience working with large private or public clouds.
  • Self-starter with ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
