About the position

The Associate position in the Aladdin Client Business at BlackRock focuses on enhancing client experiences and managing relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves overseeing service delivery, understanding client objectives, and leveraging Aladdin's technology to provide tailored solutions. The position requires collaboration with various internal teams to ensure a cohesive client experience and to implement process improvements based on service metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the comprehensive oversight and delivery of service for clients of the Aladdin® business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client SMEs and senior stakeholders.
  • Understand client business objectives and leverage Aladdin expertise to achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with BlackRock Solutions to support client needs.
  • Utilize Aladdin's capabilities to deliver best-in-class solutions for clients.
  • Work with product managers and developers to enhance the Aladdin platform's value proposition.
  • Analyze service patterns and identify themes with support team representatives.
  • Implement internal process adjustments to improve client experience and reduce incidents.
  • Host service KPI meetings and monitor holistic service metrics.
  • Adapt internal best practices to improve service aspects identified in KPI metrics.
  • Identify workflow gaps and collaborate with partner teams to implement solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Financial Services, Technology, Consulting, or Buy Side firm.
  • Working understanding of equity, fixed income, alternatives, and derivative markets.
  • Familiarity with buy-side investment management workflows and market trends.
  • Consultative approach to understanding client needs and problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Interest in technology and aptitude for learning new systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for developing partnerships with client senior management.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts simply.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Direct portfolio/risk management, trading, compliance, or operations analyst experience.
  • Proficiency in working with large data sets.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, UNIX, VBA, R, Python, or similar tools, and/or Aladdin.
