Thunder Bay Pulp & Paper is a leading northern bleached softwood kraft and northern bleached hardwood kraft pulp, paper, newsprint and directory producer. Located on Lake Superior, the Thunder Bay mill has been a landmark company of northwestern Ontario since 1919. In August 2023, Atlas Holdings established Thunder Bay Pulp & Paper as an independent pulp and paper operation, joining Atlas’ global family of manufacturing and distribution businesses.

We are looking for individuals to join our team as an entry-level laborer working 12-hour shifts in a permanent position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the facilities operate in full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations ensuring all employees are held accountable for our safety and environmental systems.
  • Ensure company policies and values are implemented and maintained throughout the organization and all legal requirements are met.
  • There will be physical work such as shoveling as well as skid steer operation and working inside and outside in all weather conditions.

Key Selection Criteria/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience working in an industrial setting.
  • Candidates must be capable of performing physical work.
  • Candidates must have computer skills including experience with MS Office.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work within Canada at the time of applying for the position.

Pay: From $35.12 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
