Expert Strategic Account Manager, State-Flexible Location

About the position

The Expert Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing business relationships with state government customers, trade professionals, and community organizations. This role serves as a trusted advisor, assisting customers in achieving their energy goals while promoting PG&E products and services. The position requires effective communication during service-related issues and events, ensuring customer satisfaction through strategic partnerships and advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage business relationships with state government customers and community organizations.
  • Serve as a trusted consultative advisor to assist customers in realizing their energy vision.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for service-related issues and needs.
  • Promote and sell PG&E products, programs, and services to customers.
  • Inform and advise customers on regulatory and legislative issues.
  • Communicate with customers regarding planned and unplanned outages.
  • Act as the Customer Strategy Officer during on-call responsibilities and PSPS Events.
  • Develop positive business relationships with all classes and their communities.
  • Work with Directors and Managers to resolve complex billing and service issues.
  • Facilitate complex service planning problems by leveraging multiple departments.
  • Provide critical field and customer perspective for segment strategies.
  • Engage customers in sustainability and electrification solutions.
  • Lead communication for internal and external stakeholders during emergency events.
  • Share customer knowledge with the matrixed team for planning and marketing functions.
  • Provide guidance and training to other Account Managers.
  • Communicate with Transmission Voltage customers in time-sensitive situations.
  • Develop market segment strategies as a Strategic Account Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 8 or more years of industry-related experience.
  • 8 or more years of relevant experience.

  • Master's degree.
