General Laborer/Operator

BRB Contractors, Inc. is one of the most respected constructors of water and wastewater treatment facilities in the Midwest. BRB also has a large pipeline division specializing in water lines, sanitary and storm sewer.

$50/DAY PER DIEM + HOTEL EXPENSES PAID + BENEFITS + INCENTIVES

Work Duties:

  • Assist equipment operator, welders, form carpenters, other tradespeople on-site
  • Handle materials and equipment
  • Prep construction site by cleaning obstacles and hazards
  • Use power tools and machinery (e.g., forklifts) when needed
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
  • Put up warning signs (e.g., signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby
  • Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding)
  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
  • Clean up worksite from debris and machinery
  • Ability to communicate well under pressure
  • Ability to work as a team player with the capacity to assist in other areas of project
  • General labor as needed

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age required
  • 1-year experience working in construction preferred
  • Experience operatoring equipment, working with concrete forms, dirt work, laying pipe to grade, setting manholes, back-filling, forming/ pouring concrete desired
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to work 45 hours per week
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
  • Ability to work in all weather

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
