To be fit to win, we must continually adapt and upskill our organization's dCom Supply Chain expertise across our different strategic business groups, markets, and key customers. Amazon is driving our dcom growth, currently Unilever's 2nd largest customer globally, and is expected to become our #1 Customer by 2030.

 

JOB PURPOSE

The Key purpose of the job is to manage the Amazon relationship globally (with the exception of the US), and manage SC improvement programs to support our growth with Amazon.

The role will report to Lee Mawson, Head of Customer Operations UKI, and Global Amazon SC Lead (excluding US)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

You are a hands-on person, who is not afraid to take on challenging and complex projects. Preferably, you are already a proven or future leader in an international environment, as you will need to lead the dCom operation agenda alongside Amazon global and local teams across several key transformative international SC workstreams. You will have experience of working cross functionally, and with numerous business partners.

This role will have to leverage our individual market and functional expertise to develop the most strategic innovative solutions to improve productivity, use new technologies and leverage new business models to exponentially grow Unilever's dCom Business.

Part of your job will be to develop and implement solutions across markets. You will also represent and champion supply chain acceleration while partnering with a diverse group of cross-functional colleagues in support of Unilever's eCommerce development overall. This will require good stakeholder management, an ability to hold others accountable and a desire to discover and share best practices across markets, cultivate a sense of community and think outside of the box. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing new solutions required across markets to solve the challenges and opportunities that markets encounter around digital commerce.

As a change maker, your primary role is to drive our SC forward to help deliver our business targets in a sustainable way. Common themes will include creating and driving capabilities, thought leadership, community building, and best practice sharing. As dCom is ever evolving, so will your role to suit the needs of the business.

Current responsibilities of the role include

  • Supporting markets in implementing Kaizen workshops and follow up on closing actions (including leading workshops where needed)
  • Supporting T2T engagements by leading the preparation and stakeholder management (including pre-reads)
  • Point of contact for Amazon senior SC teams in Europe & Global (excluding US) to understand and support their business.
  • Within Europe: Leads and negotiates Strategic SC agenda with EU AMZ SC counterpart focusing on continuous improvement (responsible for confirmation rate, logistic claims and yearly settlement process from SC perspective, chargebacks e.t.c).
  • Managing the "Pain Points browser" by supporting markets to update challenges and solutions, drive the programs to reduce the highest priority pain points (e.g. charge back reduction)
  • Leading dCom readiness program, including the packaging design agenda (through the BU's) internally to keep improving standards to delight customers and consumers
  • Driving local teams in new Amazon markets through the global capabilities for optimum operations
  • Govern the Hub model for Amazon, understanding the scope of operations at the hubs and work with the teams to optimize
  • Rolling out and keep improving the Amazon dashboard
  • Constant engaging with global counterparts to support common agendas, customer global requests and run regular global engagements (QBR...)

We are looking for a candidate that is ambitious and you will have the built in drive to propel us forward to achieve our global dCom ambition.

Key skills and experience will include:

  • A team player, with strong business partnering experience and advanced people skills, strong at external relationship building
  • A strong Supply Chain background (ideally Local, and Regional/Global level), you will need to be comfortable in understanding our current SC as well as designing and leading what it needs to be.
  • Strong background in project management and demonstrated experience with complex global/local projects with a supply chain focus. This includes detailed project planning and ability to drive projects to successful close.
  • Tech savvy, strong interest in dCom technology and curious on new features that would help to drive productivity and accelerate growth.
  • A great influencer, with the ability to work closely with a spectrum of people, from day to day contacts to the Heads of Supply Chain teams and our cross-functional partners
  • Agility and flexibility working with a diverse team located across various time zones in a channel that moves at pace and change is felt rapidly.
  • High attention to detail and a structured way of working, as you will be managing complex projects.
  • Being comfortable to explore white spaces and establish new ways of working vs adhering to existing ones
  • A passion for winning, you will be a hard worker, but you'll always make time to celebrate personal and team success and have fun along the way.
  • Experience with digital commerce is a plus.

Location

In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever's offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment ("100VE") until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.

 

Relocation to the UK
