Key Account Manager, Frozen Handhelds, Spreads, & Coffee Sales Team (Wegmans, Price Chopper, & Tops)

About the position

The Key Account Manager for Frozen Handhelds, Spreads, & Coffee Sales Team will oversee Smucker's product portfolio at major retailers including Wegmans, Price Chopper, and Tops. This role focuses on achieving sales, trade spending, and profit targets while collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement effective business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and coordinate business strategy for assigned customers.
  • Achieve annual targets for sales volume, net sales/profit, and market share within trade budget.
  • Manage the trade planning process to ensure accurate spending and timely reconciliation.
  • Monitor and adjust to competitive, industry, and customer environments.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key customers and internal teams.
  • Develop and lead the Joint Business Planning process with internal Customer Category Business team and key retail customers.
  • Analyze sales results, promotional events, and assortment gaps to drive growth.
  • Maintain monthly volume forecasts with Customer Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) experience
  • Experience with sales forecasting, analysis, database management, and financial & budget management
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple/diverse priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including negotiation and presentations.

  • Experience in CPG customer-facing/sales roles

  • Cross-functional experience in category management, trade marketing, and sales analysis
  • Ability to manage extended work schedules as needed (approx. 25% travel for market visits).
