Legal Nurse Consultant - Chronology

Alexan provides high-quality, accurate and affordable medical legal case reviews, equipping law firms and insurance companies with the information, guidance and expertise needed to triumph in today's ever-changing healthcare environment. We are currently seeking experienced Legal Nurse Consultant contractors with previous medical chronology experience.

Responsibilities in this role include:

• Compile, analyze and summarize medical records
• Maintain experienced-level in relevant software programs
• Review a case for merit
• Interpret medical records and translate medical/nursing terms, diagnoses, and treatment plans for the attorney-client
• Write brief to comprehensive reports
• Create timelines of important events and develop illustrations for demonstrative evidence
• Educate the attorney-client
• Define applicable Standards of Care (deviations and adherences)
• Conduct literature research applicable to the case

Skills and Computer Knowledge

• Advanced research and writing skills
• Proven organization skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Ability to work to meet client needs and case deadlines

Education and Experience

• R.N. license required with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
• Prior medical chronology experience required
• Must demonstrate self-motivation and initiative, work well independently and as a member of a team.
