Online Order Support Agent – eCommerce Customer Service – Remote Across the US

Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Online Order Support Agent to join our growing remote team. As a vital part of our eCommerce customer service division, you will be the first point of contact for customers placing, tracking, or inquiring about online orders. This fully remote role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced digital environment and are passionate about delivering a seamless and satisfying customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound communication via email, chat, and phone to resolve customer inquiries related to online orders.

  • Assist customers with placing orders, order status tracking, delivery updates, and returns or exchanges.

  • Investigate and resolve order issues including billing discrepancies, delays, and shipment concerns.

  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies, products, promotions, and service processes.

  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate department while maintaining ownership of customer concerns until resolved.

  • Meet or exceed individual performance metrics such as response time, resolution rate, and customer satisfaction.

  • Document all interactions and transactions accurately in the customer support CRM system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associates or bachelors degree is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in navigating multiple systems and online platforms simultaneously.

  • Customer-first mindset with empathy, patience, and attentiveness.

  • Reliable internet connection and a distraction-free home workspace.

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

  • Basic knowledge of eCommerce platforms and order processing is preferred.

Experience

  • 1+ year of customer service, order support, or call center experience (eCommerce background preferred).

  • Familiarity with tools like Zendesk, Shopify, Salesforce, or similar CRM/ticketing systems is advantageous.

  • Experience working remotely or in a virtual customer service environment is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Flexible scheduling with multiple shifts available, including weekends and evenings.

  • Full-time and part-time opportunities (20–40 hours per week).

  • Must be available to work in U.S. time zones (EST, CST, MST, or PST).
