Performance Marketer, Creative Optimization (Canada )

As part of the Creative Optimization & Strategy team within our Performance Marketing division, you will work closely with peers across marketing, creative, and data science to drive marketing innovation and experimentation.<br><br>This role focuses on supporting Shopify’s paid marketing creative strategy, creative experimentation and reporting for our global program. We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to accelerate the performance of our global creative program, and agency management. This individual contributor (IC) role does not include direct people management responsibilities.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Develop and implement creative strategies that align with growth marketing's strategic goals across multiple business lines within the global paid marketing program.</li><li>Oversee and execute day-to-day operations, including the creative process from concept to completion, writing creative briefs, running self-serve research, making creative optimization recommendations in partnership with paid marketing channels, and aiding in creative reporting.</li><li>Establishing creative insights and learning agendas in partnership with performance marketing leads to enhance program performance.</li><li>Analyze campaign performance data to understand the effectiveness of different creative elements and make informed decisions for the future.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams both internal and externally and across multiple geographies</li><li>Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in creative tools and technologies - including AI innovations, applying best practices to continuously improve our creative offerings.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Proven experience in creative strategy and optimization within a performance marketing context</li><li>Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and translate insights into successful creative strategies. Comfortable with analytics tools including Excel, Google Sheets, Mode, Tableau, SQL, and Google Analytics</li><li>Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and guiding peers, partner departments, and organizational leaders</li><li>Understanding of marketing (both digital and non-digital channels) as a way to help influence creative work. Experience running a paid marketing channel, either digital or television is helpful in this role.</li><li>A creative mindset with a problem-solving approach, able to generate innovative ideas under tight deadlines.</li><li>Curiosity in how AI can impact creative, overall process or insights generation<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>About Shopify<br><br></strong>Opportunity is not evenly distributed.
