Key responsibilitiesGreeting passengers and providing a seamless check-in and ticketing experienceUse appropriate reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, calculate and collect any appropriate feesEnsure passenger information is processed accurately and flights are sent out on timeListen to passengers and resolve their issues in accordance with company policies and procedures as a result of flight interruptionsMay work in the Baggage Service Office to track the location of baggage and handle passenger questionsComfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologiesPhysical ability to stand and walk for an eight-hour shift, as well lift and handle baggageMaintaining composure while managing customer challengesRead and interpret checked baggage tags, and cargo labelsPrepping and securing the aircraft for the next flightUse radio electronic devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crewEnsure compliance with United and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policiesLift baggage, boxes, or cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. throughout your shift May require lifting over 100 items for a single aircraftPush/pull loaded and empty carts during loading/unloading operationsAscend/descend jet-way stairs while carrying baggageBend/stoop and crawl to move and stack/unstack cargo in aircraft Drive ground equipment such as tugs to help the plane push in/out of the gate, belt loaders to help load baggage, and bag carts to deliver baggageCleaning of the interior of the aircraft, clean and service aircraft lavatories Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditionsQualifications and minimum requirementsMust be at least 18 years oldMust acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position including fingerprint clearance, local airport badging, and background check Successful completion of pre-employment process which may include but not be limited to; drug screen, hearing and vision checkAvailable to work any shift; day or night, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need.Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and new technologiesMust be able to use radio electronic devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crewMust be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 70 lbs. Able to perform a variety of physical activities including Pushing, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spacesAuthorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license.
