Principal Tech Support Specialist
<p>Position Overview: Entrust is seeking a <strong>Principal Technical Specialist</strong> who is passionate about helping customers succeed with our Toolkits and APIs, which integrate with our PKI and Identity Solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex challenges and enjoys working directly with customers to deliver secure, high-impact solutions.</p><p>As a member of our collaborative team, including product managers, developers, QA engineers, and technical support, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers deploy and integrate our technologies successfully. You’ll be at the intersection of innovation, software design, and cybersecurity.</p><p>If you’re driven by curiosity, enjoy continuous learning, and value teamwork, Entrust offers the environment and mission to help you grow and make a difference.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li>Lead advanced technical troubleshooting and customer support initiatives.</li><li>Design and develop sample applications utilizing Entrust Toolkits.</li><li>Demonstrate strong understanding of SOAP/REST APIs and ITIL frameworks within SaaS environments.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, Product Management, and R&D teams.</li><li>Ensure escalations to R&D are complete, actionable, and well-documented.</li><li>Create and maintain custom tools to support customer deployments and internal processes; deliver training as needed.</li><li>Monitor, track, and analyze customer issues to identify trends and drive product and process improvements.</li><li>Provide detailed product feedback informed by customer interactions and use cases.</li><li>Assess and analyze security vulnerabilities, delivering in-depth technical evaluations.</li><li>Act as a key technical liaison during critical or major Cloud Service incidents, working closely with R&D and DevOps.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Basic Requirements</strong>:</p><ul><li>Experience with enterprise security product implementations.</li><li>Demonstrated success in developing high-quality software solutions, with expertise Java, Rest APIs. C\C++ is an asset but not essential.</li><li>Strong service delivery and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to influence across teams and levels.</li><li>Customer service orientation and</li><li>A willingness to travel as needed.</li><li>Must have unrestricted authorization to work in Canada</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.</li><li>3+ years’ experience with:</li><li>Understanding of PKI concepts and practices</li><li>SSL certificates, smartcards/tokens, HSMs, PKCS #11</li><li>PostgreSQL or other relational databases.</li><li>Web servers and application servers</li><li>LDAP, X.500 directory servers and Active Directory</li><li>Knowledge of application frameworks and web services development</li><li>Familiarity with X.509 standards, CMP, PKCS #7, S/MIME and SSL</li><li>Networking and Deep Packet analysis; and</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About Entrust:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Our growing company relies on curious, dedicated and innovative colleagues to anticipate the future and provide solutions for a more connected, mobile and secure world.
