[Remote] Principal Financial Analyst, Oracle Cloud, Competitive Analysis

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Analyst to join our Competitive Analysis team, focusing on the cloud computing industry.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth competitive analysis on cloud computing providers, including market positioning, product offerings, pricing strategies, P&L, go-to-market motions, and benchmarking to Oracle.
  • Analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities, threats, and differentiators for Oracle Cloud.
  • Develop and deliver actionable intelligence and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Maintain and update a knowledge base of competitive intelligence — synthesizing findings into clear, concise briefs and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business implications and support strategic planning.
  • Monitor news, analyst reports, customer feedback, and relevant data sources to track developments in the cloud marketplace.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in market analysis, strategy, or related roles within the tech or cloud computing sector.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing business models, products, and leading industry players (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Demonstrated ability to dive deeply into SEC filings and other financial disclosures, distilling meaningful insights based on a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, both in writing and verbally, to senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
