A proven high performer with extensive experience, this professional delivers end-to-end communications plans and develops exceptional content that enables leaders and team members across the organization to deliver on TELUS’ business objectives. This role is a 13-month contract from February 2026 to March 2027.<br><br><br><ul><li>Develop best-in-class, timely and consistent internal and external communications that support the company’s business strategy and the needs of TELUS’ President and CEO, on both a proactive and reactive basis</li><li>Model communications best practices within the organization, demonstrating expert writing skills and a broad and deep understanding of the business</li><li>Leverage resources and relationships, as well as strong research capabilities, to develop comprehensive communications regarding any business area within TELUS and the telecom industry</li><li>Create communication strategies, tactics and metrics that inform and engage audiences, drive business priorities and elevate the TELUS brand</li><li>Collaborate effectively with other business units to provide communications, program and event support that align with business priorities and team member engagement objectives<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>What you bring:<br><br><br></strong><ul><li>Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior communications manager role, writing communications and speeches for corporate executives</li><li>University Degree in a related discipline or extensive related business experience in a senior communications roles</li><li>Exceptional writing, storytelling, editing, proof-reading and researching skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, skillfully integrating CEO communications into larger business programs</li><li>Proven expertise in writing strategic internal communications, captivating opinion editorial pieces, fulsome award submissions, meaningful media quotes, compelling speeches and other communications</li><li>Demonstrated ability to embrace ambiguity and make the best decision based on the information available in a fast-paced and fluid environment</li><li>Technical expertise to create and distribute digital communications using a variety of software programs</li><li>Excellent project management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize effectively in order to balance competing interests</li><li>Ability to understand, analyze and optimize complex business problems, issues and challenges</li><li>Keen observer of the general business environment, industry trends, competitive and regulatory issues and current affairs as they may relate to TELUS</li><li>Sound understanding of TELUS’ brand, social purpose, values and corporate priorities</li><li>Advanced working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Campaign, WorkVivo and other digital technology products</li><li>Bilingual in English and French (oral and written) is an asset</li><li>Additional post-secondary education, an Accredited Public Relations or an Accredited Business Communicator designation are considered assets<br><br><br></li></ul>Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.<br><br>
