Job Title: Splunk Assessment ConsultantLocation: Chicago, IL Job Description:Assessment and Analysis - Conduct a thorough review of our current Splunk environment, including architecture, data ingestion, indexing, search performance, and dashboard utilization. Best Practices - Identify and recommend best practices for Splunk deployment, management, and usage to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Optimization - Propose strategies to optimize our Splunk setup, including data management, query optimization, and resource allocation. Benchmarking - Compare our use of Splunk with industry standards and practices, providing insights into how other companies leverage the platform. Opportunity Identification - Identify new opportunities and use cases for Splunk within our organization to enhance data analytics capabilities and business outcomes. Also identify current use cases of Splunk in the organization that are sub-optimal and should be removed for efficiency or cost-savings. Documentation and Reporting - Prepare detailed reports and documentation on findings, recommendations, and proposed action plans. Training and Knowledge Transfer - Provide training and knowledge transfer to our internal team to ensure sustainable improvements and ongoing efficient use of Splunk. Stakeholder Communication - Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, present findings, and discuss recommendations.
