About Walmart Electronics Department

The Walmart Electronics department is one of the highest-traffic and highest-revenue areas in the store — housing smartphones, laptops, tablets, gaming consoles, TVs, headphones, and smart home devices that customers often need expert guidance to choose between. Electronics Associates combine product knowledge with sales ability, helping customers compare features across brands, activating wireless devices, processing trade-ins, and ensuring the locked display cases and high-value merchandise are secure and properly presented at all times.

Position Overview

Walmart is hiring Electronics Associates to provide expert product consultation and sales assistance in the Electronics department at Supercenter locations. You will assist customers comparing tech products, demonstrate device features, process wireless activations, maintain locked merchandise displays, and ensure the department is merchandised and stocked to Walmart standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers comparing smartphones, laptops, TVs, gaming systems, and accessories with knowledgeable product recommendations.
• Process wireless device activations, upgrades, and trade-ins using carrier-specific systems and Walmart mobile tools.
• Maintain locked display cases ensuring high-value merchandise is secure, properly tagged, and visually presentable.
• Stock shelves and end caps with new electronics freight, setting up promotional displays per merchandising directives.
• Process customer returns and exchanges on electronics items following Walmart's technology return policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Benefits

Must be 18+ years of age. No formal tech certifications required — personal interest in consumer electronics and willingness to learn product specifications is essential. Strong customer service and consultative selling skills.
