The Video Content Creator will be responsible for producing high-quality videos that educate Shopify retailers about our Shopify called AI Voice Assist, and showcase its features. You’ll create engaging demos, walkthroughs, and promotional content to highlight the app’s benefits, as well as collaborate with external video creators who specialize in educating Shopify merchants.

You’ll work closely with our product, marketing, and partnerships teams to ensure content is aligned with our brand voice and effectively communicates our value to store owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, script, film, and edit educational and promotional videos for AI Voice Assist.
  • Create engaging product demos and step-by-step walkthroughs that clearly explain features and benefits to Shopify store owners.
  • Develop short-form and long-form video content for social media, YouTube, and other marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with external Shopify-focused content creators to expand reach and visibility.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a professional, engaging tone.
  • Stay informed on Shopify trends, app promotion strategies, and content marketing best practices.
  • Organize and manage a video content library for internal and external use.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in video production, including filming, editing, and motion graphics.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to explain technical concepts simply and clearly.
  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Experience creating content for online platforms, preferably in the e-commerce or SaaS space.
  • Familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Hybrid role – 1-2 days per week in our Whitby, Ontario office, with the remainder remote.
  • Flexible schedule, with deadlines and content delivery as primary priorities.
