Web Portal Dev Co-op/Intern
Support and develop features for Nokia’s Developer Portal using Python/Django in a hybrid work environment.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Nokia Developer Portal (
- Developing features using Python/Django
- Coding, testing, and debugging new and existing portal features
- Taking ownership of writing effective, scalable code
- Collaborating closely with other developers and participating in portal-related discussions
- Working in a fast-paced environment with a team of engineers
About You
The company is looking for:
- Current candidate for a Master's, bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited Canadian school
- Strong programming skills in Python (Django framework experience preferred)
- Some experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Strong grasp of object-oriented software design concepts
- Familiarity with Unix (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Nice to have: experience with Git version control and/or micro-services build architecture (Gradle)
- Strong problem resolution skills and ability to learn quickly
- Knowledge of agile software design and test methodologies
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $41,184 to $96,356 CAD per year
